The admission process of RC Kolkata is very simple, and students can get admission online through the official website of the university, which conducts admissions twice a year — January session and July session.

Online Admission Process – Step by Step
Step 1 – Generate DEB ID. Before applying, students must generate a Distance Education Bureau (DEB) ID. Visit the UGC-DEB website and register with your Aadhaar number to get this unique ID. It is mandatory for all distance education admissions.
Step 2 – New Registration. Register as a new student and fill in all the relevant details like name, email, and mobile number to create a username/password; verify via OTP sent to your email/SMS.
Step 3 – Login & Fill Application Form. Log in with your credentials and select the program you want to enrol in. Enter academic details, address, and select Regional Center Kolkata (Code 28) from the dropdown.
Step 4 – Choose Your Study Center. Select your preferred Study Center from the list under RC 28. Choose carefully — your exam Center is allotted near your study Center.
Step 5 – Upload Documents. Scan and upload photo, signature, educational certificates, category proof (SC/ST/OBC), and DEB ID. Ensure formats match guidelines (e.g., JPG, <100KB). Step 6 – Pay Fees. Pay the programme fee along with the registration fee of INR 300 online through UPI, debit, credit card, or net banking.
