In the QS World University Rankings 2027, MIT is at the top at the global level, with a 100 overall score, while IIT Delhi ranks 118th in India, with a 65.7 overall score.

Among over 1500 shortlisted universities worldwide, 52 Indian Universities feature in the QS World University Rankings 2027 list.
IIT Delhi is the top leader in the 2027 Ranking, replacing IIT Bombay in the 2026 list. With an 118th rank at the global level, it became the best Indian institution to achieve the highest rank, with a 5-place jump.
