Examination Pattern of IGNOU Distance MSW
Indira Gandhi Open National University conducts regular assessments, fieldwork, and yearly term-end examinations to evaluate its learners. The patterns of IGNOU MSW exams are as follows:
- Continuous Assessments are conducted in March for the June session and September for the December Session. It consists of viva, quizzes, and subjective questions with a 30% weightage. Students need to submit their respective assignments to the coordinator of their study center.
- Term-end Examinations carry 70% weightage and consist of theory papers with short and long-type questions. It is conducted during June and December every year. Students need to visit the physical center to attend their TEE.
- Social Work Practicum covers 16 credits, and students need to submit a project to confirm their eligibility in TEE. It consists of case studies, fieldwork, and group projects on any ongoing conflicts and their resolution.
