The duration of an online Master of Commerce is a postgraduate program that generally takes 24 months to complete. The program is structured into 4 semesters, each of which lasts six months. Alongside this, if any students discontinue for any reason may re-enrol from the same semester they stopped within the given 2-year time period.

IGNOU Online M.Com Fee Details

The Online MCom program consists of 4 academic semesters lasting a 2-year duration. Aspiring MCom applicants can enrol in IGNOU’s online MCom program at a minimal fee of INR 9,000 per year.

Students who want to enrol in the online MCom can apply online via the website. The university conducts admission in January and June. Applicants can follow the steps mentioned below in the same order.

Step 1: Registration:

• Register with personal details, Aadhar mobile number, and email
• Create APAAR ID (an academic store)
• Verify email and mobile number
• Create a user ID and a password.

Step 2: Admission Form:

• Log in with your user ID, password, and captcha
• Choose your desired program
• Fill the form with personal, academic, and other required details

Step 3: Upload Documents:

You need to upload the following documents:

• Identity proof: Aadhar, PAN
• Academic: 10th, 12th, and bachelor marksheet
• Upload passport-size photos & signature
• Domicile, Caste, Income, & PwD for reserved categories

Step 4: Make Payment:

• Pay the annual program fee
• Choose a convenient online payment method: Netbanking, UPI, Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer.

The university has designed its curriculum to strengthen students' understanding of commerce and related fields. The program covers core concepts, such as Marketing, International Marketing, Accounting, Auditing, Analytics, Research, Economics, and many more. The program will be delivered through live classes, recorded lectures, assignments, real-time projects, masterclasses, and workshops to gain practical experience.

Students who want to enrol in IGNOU’s online MCom program can apply for scholarship benefits. They can visit the Vidya Lakshmi Portal and apply for an education loan and a government scholarship. Students can track their educational loan application at any time from any location until the sanction is completed.

Applicants are advised to apply for a scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) run by the Indian government. The examination is held in reserve in June and December. Students are only allowed to appear for the exam after submitting the assignment. The evaluation system is divided into two parts: assignment and term-end examination, each of which has a specific weightage. Students must fill out the TEE form every time they appear for the exam.
