IGNOU Online BCA Course Duration

IGNOU Online BCA Fee Details

The fee for this BCAOL course is INR 6,000 per semester for Indian students. This amount does not include the examination fee and the one-time registration fee, which is non-refundable. Since the program is not offered to the International students, there is no separate fee range given for them on the university website. However, a new BCA online program with a different fee structure has been introduced by the university. It is in the name of Bachelor of Computer Applications (New) and is available to both National and International applicants.

Step 1: Visit the IGNOU Admission Portal, https://ignou.ac.in, and click Online Admission (or directly use the SAMARTH portal.

Step 2: Register or create an account with your email ID and mobile number.

Step 3: Log in and fill out the online BCA application form with personal, qualification, and contact details

Step 4: Upload scanned documents in the specified size and format. The documents you will need are:

• Class 10th and 12th marksheets
• Signature
• ID proof (Aadhar/Passport)
• Passport-size photograph
• Diploma certificate (if applying via diploma)
• Category certificate (if applicable: SC/ST/OBC/EWS)

Step 5: Pay the non-refundable registration fee, which is around ₹300, and the semester fee online via debit/credit card or net banking.

Step 6: Review your form and then submit it.

Step 7: Print or save the acknowledgement from the university end for future reference.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University does not offer a specific scholarship scheme for this course. The exam pattern at the Indira Gandhi National Open University for the BCAOL course is quite simple. It scores you based on your performance in TEE and the Assignments.

• Assignments are assigned during the course and might have a number of 2-3 per year. For each subject, the weightage of the assignments is different, with a variation of 25% or 30%.
• Term End Examination or TEE is the theory exam conducted for each subject in the syllabus at the end of each semester. It has a weight of 75% for some subjects and 70% for others in the final result.
• Project Work is treated as a subject of semester 6. It is also evaluated on two factors. One through the “Project Report Evaluation”, which is similar to “TEE” for it. It has a weightage of 75%, and the other is “Project Viva.” It is used instead of the “Assignment,” with a weightage of 25%.

Note: A 75% attendance is compulsory in the Practical Lab Sessions.
